Categories

Adobe Spark
i.e. Talk about a trip, show us a concept you’ve learned, a dream you’ve had, write a story, etc.

Animation
i.e. Short animated film, stop-motion film, kinetic typography, and hand-drawn animation, etc.

Audio Composition
i.e. Record a song, radio ad, a narrated story with sound effects, etc.

Branding
i.e. Self-promotion, stationary, logo, invitations, POS materials, brochures, etc.

Fashion Design
i.e. Photographs, digital illustrations, digital portfolio, etc.

Game/App Design
i.e. A video game, a shopping app, a social media app, etc.

Graphic Design
i.e. Packaging, sales promotion, print design, publication design, etc.

Illustration
i.e. Abstract, landscapes, digital painting, digital illustrations, 3-D Models (Digital Only), etc.

Photography
i.e. Landscape, portrait, still life, photomanipulation, abstract, etc.

Typography
i.e. Font design, typographic poster, hand lettering, etc.

Videography
i.e. A commercial, short film, special effect composition, etc.

Web Design
i.e. Fully functional website, web application, or website prototype.
Can I Compete?
If you design or create using any Adobe products as a student, then you have the opportunity to participate in the Adobe Academic Achievement Awards. Show us what you got! Draw a composition in Photoshop, create a website or application in Dreamweaver, or drop the latest hit in Adobe Audition. Whatever the project, we want to see it!
Let’s review the rules:
The following list of rules and regulations are agreed upon by the student upon completion of registration. Failure to abide by these rules and regulations will result in the dismissal of the student’s submission.
- All submissions must be original work produced by the student or group and must have been completed within the 2018-2019 calendar year (work completed prior to August 2018 is not permitted.)
- Submissions from prior Adobe Academic Achievement Awards will not be eligible for judging.
- Group work will only be permitted under group submission categories.
- Judges retain the right to transfer any submission to a category other than the one originally submitted to without consulting the participant.
- All work must be submitted by March 22, 2019, by 11:59 P.M. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- All submissions must be properly named with “FirstLastName_Category”. Ex. “JaneSmith_Branding” All submissions not containing a name will not be considered for judging.
- Students may only submit two entries per each category.
- Stock imagery is discouraged but is allowed.
- Avoid excessive file sizes. The bigger the file, the longer the upload process is to Dropbox.
- Videos should be exported as “H.264” format (standard video format for YouTube).
- All winners must print their work in order for it to be showcased at the awards ceremony.
- Have fun! This is a great opportunity to showcase your best work to the world.
