Morgan Roth, Ph.D.

Assistant Honors Director, Assistant Professor of Biology

Dr. Morgan Roth teaches several organismal biology courses in the Department of Biology and Chemistry, including General Biology I and II labs (BIOL 224 & 225), Animal Diversity and Conservation (BIOL 125), and Introduction to Entomology (BIOL 320). Dr. Roth also helps mentor students as the assistant curator for the LU snake care group and the LU insect collection. Dr. Roth graduated from the Honors Program at Liberty University with a B.S. in Zoology, after which she attended Virginia Tech and graduated with an M.S. in Life Sciences and a Ph.D. in Entomology. Her graduate research focused on the physiology and behavior of honey bee pests and she is currently working to establish an apiary for teaching and research at the Liberty University Campus Farm. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Roth enjoys playing violin and other instruments with friends, exploring nature, and caring for her pet snakes, gecko, axolotls, beetles, and spiders.
