Biography

I like administration and I like writing. As an administrator, I find joy in helping great teachers teach. Most of the great professors I have known over my career enjoy teaching and tolerate the administrative tasks that so often crowd their calendars. Thus, I get to help remove from their plate the burdens of these trivial tasks that take their attention away from the classroom. As a writer, I enjoy projects where I get to collaborate with those who bring skills and perspectives that differ from my own. By writing, I get to keep a finger in my own academic guild as my administrative roles often take me beyond my official training. I love working with college students and count it a privilege to serve administratively in the College of Health Sciences.
