William Moore, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Moore’s expertise lies in diabetes, metabolism, and medical microbiology. His lab is currently working to identify naturally occurring compounds with anti-diabetic potential and characterize their mechanisms in adipocytes.
Dr. Moore taught his first class (microbiology) in fall 2010 and fell in love with teaching that year. He received formal training in contemporary pedagogy during his doctoral work at Virginia Tech. Prior to joining the faculty at Liberty, Dr. Moore was an assistant professor of biology at Averett University. He has also instructed a wide array of courses in the biomedical sciences at Fort Hays State, Kansas State, the Virginia Community College System, and Virginia Tech.
