Biography
Edna Udobong was a 2014 recipient of the Liberty University President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is responsible for initiating Liberty’s partnership with the Fulbright Program (the United States’ flagship international exchange program for students and faculty) and is the Liberty Fulbright Student Advisor and Scholar Campus Representative. She leads faculty from different Liberty University departments on a Fulbright Committee and has served as a peer reviewer and selection committee member for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar African Regional Research Program.
Edna Udobong is the advisor for the Faculty and Student International Scholarship and Fellowship Programs for the Fulbright Scholar Program, the Fulbright U.S. Students Program, and the Gilman Scholarship Program. Udobong received a 2008-2009 Fulbright Scholarship to the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a 2013 Fulbright Specialist Scholarship to the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
As a Fulbright Scholar, she has served the Council for the Exchange of Scholars as a peer and discipline reviewer for two Africa regional exchange programs – the 2010-2011 Humphrey program and the 2010-2011 Fulbright Scholar Program. She is a 1995 Harvard Law School Reginald Lewis Human Rights award recipient.
