Student Accident Insurance
Residential Students attending the Lynchburg, VA campus
- As of July 1, 2024, Liberty University, through the Office of Risk Management, provides a $15,000 accident insurance policy benefiting all residential students attending the Lynchburg, VA campus
- Coverage is limited to residential students as part of on-campus Health & Wellness initiative

Key points regarding coverage
- It is not a substitute for the student’s primary health insurance and only applies to accident injuries
- It is for accidental injuries sustained by the residential student when the student has co-payments or deductibles remaining after having filed with their primary insurer
- Residential students are covered for accidental injuries including those related to intramural sports, official club sports and intercollegiate sports
- Residential students are covered while actively enrolled in classes in the U.S. and subject to the terms, conditions, and limits of coverage found in the policy

Filing a Claim
- Once on the AG Specialty Insurance site, click on the “Submit A Claim” button
- Download a Student Accident Insurance Claim Form within the instructions
- Once completed, save it to your computer
- Upload that form to AG Specialty Insurance on the Click Here to Submit Claim Form button
- Enter information (Email, First name, Last name) in order for the system to associate your claim form with your personal information. When it asks for company, type Liberty University
- Once you receive the confirmation email, you’ll be able to upload Explanation of Benefits forms, Medical bills and receipts by clicking the “Upload Claim Documents” button at the bottom of the Submit a Claim page
- There is also a button for submitting documentation through Fax, Email and postal mail. You can provide this information to your treating physicians to allow them to file future medical bills directly to AG Specialty Insurance should they have that capability
- You will also need to email a copy to the Office of Risk Management in order to confirm coverage
