Early Arrival Meal Stipends and Student Travel Per Diem
In an effort to reduce large cash advances from being issued, and tedious reconciliation requirements, a process utilizing BankMobile Disbursements has been established to distribute early arrival meal stipends and travel per diems to students.
Meal allowances will be disbursed via the students’ selected BankMobile Disbursements preference. Meal allowances are not to exceed $30 per day and are prorated for partial days. The breakdown of meal allowance allocations by meal should be as follows:
Meal Breakdown: Allowance
Breakfast – 20%: $6.00
Lunch – 30%: $9.00
Dinner – 50%: $15.00
Total: $30.00
The use of meal allowances eliminates the need for substantiating actual meal costs. Therefore, receipts are not required to be returned for reconciliation. Allowances include food, gratuity, and incidental costs. There are two processes for payments to students. One process for a single trip and another for multiple trips known in advance.
