Liberty University’s Advanced Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is designed for students with prior theological training who want to deepen their ministry preparation without repeating foundational coursework. This 72-credit-hour program builds on your existing knowledge while offering advanced study in biblical interpretation, leadership, and hands-on ministry practice.
Rooted in a Christ-centered curriculum, the program covers areas such as systematic theology, church history, pastoral leadership, and intercultural ministry. Whether you’re called to serve as a pastor, missionary, chaplain, or ministry leader, this degree offers both academic depth and practical experience to help you lead with confidence and clarity.
Note: This program is limited to Liberty University graduates with a bachelor’s degree who have completed at least 30 credit hours of 300-400 level Bible or Biblical Language courses with a grade of B or higher.

Admission Requirements for Our Advanced Master of Divinity Degree Program
Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and all applicants must submit the following documents and meet the minimum requirements for admission:
- Admission application
- Official bachelor’s degree transcripts with a 2.0 GPA or higher
- Must have graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree and completed at least 30 hours of 300-400 level Bible or Biblical Language courses with a grade of B or higher
- John W. Rawlings School of Divinity Questionnaire
- Pastoral recommender contact information
- Self-certification form for students in the final term of their bachelor’s degree
- Current Liberty undergraduate students seeking preliminary acceptance into a graduate program must complete a degree completion application through their ASIST account
