Liberty University’s Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Christian Ministries – Biblical Interpretation is designed to help you learn how to interpret Scripture as well as build a stronger biblical foundation for ministry. This program emphasizes the development of key interpretive skills, including analyzing biblical texts within their historical and cultural settings, drawing theological applications for today’s ministry challenges, and clearly communicating Scripture’s meaning.

In addition to completing coursework in key aspects of ministry and biblical studies, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a practicum – so you can turn your knowledge into hands-on experience and prepare to pursue your career goals. We have a state-of-the-art homiletics lab in our John W. Rawlings School of Divinity building.

Our Scriptorium houses the Rawlings Foundation’s rare books collection valued at over $1 million, a 111-foot-long Torah scroll that dates back to the 16th century, and a functioning replica of the Gutenberg Printing Press.

The John W. Rawlings School of Divinity is one of the world’s largest schools for religious studies and ministerial training.

Admission Requirements for Our M.Div. in Christian Ministries Degree

Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and all applicants must submit the following documents and meet the minimum requirements for admission:

Official bachelor’s degree transcripts with a 2.0 GPA or higher
John W. Rawlings School of Divinity Questionnaire
Pastoral recommender contact information
Self-certification form (for students who are in the final term of their bachelor’s degree)
Current Liberty undergraduate students seeking preliminary acceptance into a graduate program must complete a degree completion application through their ASIST account
