Liberty University’s School of Education meets rigorous national standards for educator preparation set by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Please note that this online higher education degree is an advanced licensure program and requires you to have a math teaching license in middle or secondary education.

Please note: Before students begin this program, they must hold a current initial teaching license with either an Algebra I add-on or a Secondary (Grades 6-12) Mathematics endorsement and 2 years of experience under that license in which the teaching of mathematics was an important responsibility. If the initial teaching license is not from Virginia, a Virginia initial teaching license must be obtained during the program. If you do not currently have a teaching license, our Master of Arts in Teaching may be a better fit for you.
