Make a Difference in the Lives of Others with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

As a nurse, you have the chance to help in the healing process of countless patients. Your skilled care, smile, and kind words can make a world of difference. Learn how to be present and attentive with your patients by studying under faculty who have worked for years in the nursing field, providing excellent patient care.

Our School of Nursing offers a four-year degree curriculum designed to provide a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Nursing courses are distributed throughout the four years but are concentrated at the junior and senior levels.

You can also specialize your nursing degree with a focus in global studies. Through this concentration, you can take courses like cultural anthropology, global health nursing, and cross-cultural nursing to help prepare you for nursing in a mission-related or humanitarian capacity.

Accreditation

Our bachelor’s degrees in nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.

What Will You Learn?

  • Our courses focus on helping you develop strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are vital in your future career as a nurse.
  • As a freshman, you will take medical terminology, introduction to nursing, sciences in nursing, and microbiology.
  • After these courses are successfully completed, students can apply for the nursing program so they can complete the rest of their nursing specific courses.
  • You will start your clinical hours as soon as your sophomore year with relevant courses associated with those experiences like human nutrition, pharmacology, and leadership in nursing.

Licensure requirements may vary and are subject to change without notice. View your state’s requirements here: https://www.liberty.edu/statelicensure/.
