ASCD Student Chapter
ASCD’s motto is “Learn. Teach. Lead.” Known for its Whole Child Initiative, ASCD has been a global leader since 1943 in resources for educators: conferences, journals, books, and online resources. Comprising 140,000 members—educators from more than 134 countries—ASCD is a nonpartisan association that is committed never to use funds to support any political party or politician. All funds are used to advocate for quality instruction for elementary and secondary students. ASCD is an abbreviation for Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. Over time, however, ASCD broadened its focus so much so that it is now one of the most inclusive professional associations for all educators, not just supervisors or curriculum developers.
