Biography
Dr. Matthews was born in the United States, but as a child moved to Australia where his parents served as missionaries. He has served in educational institutions and church ministries in Australia and Southern California. While at Liberty, Dr. Matthews has taught the Biblical Worldview and Contemporary Issues courses, Theology 201, and developed two online courses in Critical Thinking and the Biblical Worldview.
He has published individual articles on Determinism, Hedonism, Relativism, Tolerance, and Sir Thomas More. Dr. Matthews has given presentations on Christian Liberty, Critical Thinking, Teaching Large Classes, Using Visuals in Higher Education, and What is a Worldview.
