Beyond Barriers Summer Bridge Program

The Beyond Barriers Summer Bridge Program is an immersive 10-day orientation program designed to equip students with documented disabilities for a smooth transition to Liberty University.

Students will move in early to their fall dorm assignment, dine in the new dining hall, complete UNIV 101 (1-credit course), and connect with fellow students in a variety of engaging activities.

Sessions will include introductions to key services and departments across the university, group outings to get familiar with the campus, and interactive training to improve self-regulation and self-determination.

We have partnered with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to provide workshops for students that focus on workplace readiness, independent living skills, and self-advocacy.
The Beyond Barriers Summer Transition Program will be scheduled soon so stay tuned for more details. Applications will be open for submission starting February 1, 2025.
The Program Fee is yet to be determined but will include housing (early move-in), meals, UNIV 101 tuition, books/materials, activities, peer mentoring, and a t-shirt.
