Allie Paige to hold concert: Student Activities hosts singer/songwriter Nov. 10

Student Activities is hosting Allie Paige in concert at the LaHaye Event Space on Friday, Nov. 10 with student Hannah Cheshire opening the show at 8 p.m.

Paige is a Christian singer, songwriter and producer. She draws inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including folk, indie-pop and soul. Her music stylings can be compared to those of Adele, Florence & The Machine and Joni Mitchell, to name a few.

“Allie Paige’s style of music is one that seems to fit in the culture of music that Liberty students appreciate,” Student Activities Event Supervisor Jordan Hassler said. “Whether they’re long-time fans or listening to her songs for the first time, I think everyone who comes will find something they like.”

Student Activities offers a wide variety of events for students throughout the semester to help build community and give students a range of activities in which to participate. These include events like game nights, movie showings and concerts.

According to Hassler, concerts such as this one give students a chance to attend a show and discover an artist for the first time, allowing a deep appreciation for their music to blossom in a personal setting.

“We believe concerts like this one are really special,” Hassler said. “We all deeply connect to music, and live shows on campus are an awesome opportunity for students to see an artist they love and maybe wouldn’t be able to see if the performance was happening somewhere else.”

Tickets for the concert are $10 for Liberty students and $15 for the general public, and they can be purchased online at www.liberty.edu/sa. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $15 for students and $30 for the public.

“We’re really excited for students to experience a unique concert atmosphere at this show. A lot of intentionality is being woven into it from the moment they walk into the venue, and we know Allie Paige is going to deliver a great performance,”
Hassler said.
