Champion’s Choice: Our PIcks for the Homecoming Game Versus Middle Tennessee

Well, we all got Syracuse wrong. Some of us mentioned that an upset was possible, but nobody actually went for it. For UAB, everyone correctly predicted Liberty to win, and Luke Randle came the closest to the score.

Here are our predictions for Liberty’s homecoming game against Middle Tennessee.

Luke Randle (4-1)

The second half against UAB was the best Liberty has looked all year. I think the Flames have finally found their groove again, and I expect a big showing on homecoming weekend. Middle Tennessee did beat Marshall and hang in with Virginia Tech for a bit, but a fired-up Flames team that is fully focused? No, Liberty will win big at home.

Liberty 52, Middle Tennessee 7

Christian Shields (4-1)

Liberty redeemed its poor performance against Syracuse with a dominant win at UAB. Willis and company will build off this momentum against a relatively weak Middle Tennessee team. Expect the Flames to score big on offense but have minor struggles on defense.

Liberty 45, Middle Tennessee 17

Jarrett Harper (4-1)

Liberty should not have any issue defeating Middle Tennessee. Not to mention it is the homecoming game, which should add some extra energy to Liberty’s side.

Liberty 42, Middle Tennessee 21

Joshua lipowski (4-1)

Liberty is clicking on all cylinders after a great bounce-back win over UAB. The second half was a true team effort, and this team now enters a very winnable stretch of the schedule. Willis will light it up, and Liberty will continue its home-winning streak.

Liberty 41, Middle Tennessee 17

Cameron Satterthwaite II (4-1)

Even though Middle Tennessee is coming to Liberty with a win from last week, the Flames’ experienced team should lift them over the Blue Raiders.

Liberty 42, Middle Tennessee 10

Zac Zehnder (4-1)

Liberty is clearly the better team going into week five against MTSU. While its defense has been unpredictable, Malik Willis will shine again, and the Flames will win.
