Trust in the Lord to be faithful; your family will rise to the challenges. Be encouraged! We are here to journey alongside you, to pray with you, and more valuable than that, God is with you!

March Tip of the Month:
As the semester reaches its midway point, many students begin to feel the cumulative weight of assignments, exams, group projects, and the ongoing pressure to perform well. This is often when burnout, discouragement, and fatigue creep in quietly. As a parent, your voice of steady encouragment can make such a meaningful difference during this time. This month, we encourage you to gently remind your student that rest is not a setback. God instructs us to rest. God modeled rest in creation and repeatedly calls His people to slow down, reflect, and trust Him. Encourage your student to view rest not as wasted time, but as an act of obedience that reorients their heart toward God. Rest allows students to grow spiritually, and it quiets the noise of academic and social demands. When they intentionally step back to rest, they create space for the Lord to strengthen them, renew their perspective, and calm their anxious thoughts. Share with them the reminder found in Psalm 45:10-11: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us”.
Parent Support Resource | Office of Emergency Management & Community Engagement (EMCE)
The Office of Emergency Management & Community Engagement (EMCE) is dedicated to protecting the Liberty community through preparedness, response, and recovery efforts that embody their commitment to being “Prepared to Serve”.
EMCE’s purpose is to equip Champions for Christ with the tools of preparedness so they may ensure safety in every aspect of life.
Though we hope to never have to use them, Liberty University has comprehensive emergency plans in place to deal with any crisis that may occur on campus. As an LU parent, it would be helpful to review Liberty’s Emergency Guidelines (PDF) and the Crisis & Emergency Management Plan (PDF).
EMCE’s Training Division offers self-defense, situational awareness, and active shooter courses, all in a effort to help students and the campus community to empower themselves with the skills and knowledge to stay safe while on campus at Liberty University.

The Champion Safe App is the official safety app of LU and an important resource for every student to have on their phone. It provides important safety alerts and instant access to campus safety resources, including campus maps, emergency contacts, safety notifications, and the ability to chat directly with campus security.
Check out all of these resources and services provided by EMCE on their website. We appreciate all the EMCE team does to keep LU safe!
