The Liberty University School of Business offers a variety of student-led organizations, both co-curricular and extra-curricular. These student groups are not only a way for students to form relationships with their peers and put their classroom knowledge to use, but also for them to have the opportunity to learn from professionals in their career field and network.
These professionally minded clubs feature activities and events including guest speakers, industry days and career treks. Many of these organizations are also chapters of global organizations allowing students to transition from college-based organizations to full-on professional status.
Active School of Business Student Organizations:
Accounting Society
The Accounting Society was formed to equip accounting students with the tools they need to become beacons of Christ in the business environment. Social events are offered to allow students the opportunity to network with other accounting students, professors, and business professionals from the community.
The Accounting Society also regularly hosts meetings in which business professionals present information on accounting-related topics, including technical updates, interview skills, and expectations for life after graduation. Professional relationships are maintained with various employers, including national, regional, and local accounting firms and private companies so that Society members can remain informed of valuable internship and career opportunities.
American Marketing Association
Liberty University’s collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (LU AMA) produces events for students to hear from leading marketing professionals, serves as a networking opportunity for marketing and sales students, immerses students in planning and promoting fundraising opportunities, and offers practical, hands-on strategic marketing applications through national case competitions.
Liberty University’s collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association has participated at the national level of the AMA Collegiate Case Competition since 2009, placing in the final four chapters in 2010 and 2011. The 2012-2013 team was a national semi-finalist.
Each month the chapter invites alumni and seasoned marketing professionals to participate on a panel to share their work experiences and identify trends in the marketing field and workforce. In addition, LU AMA serves in a sales/marketing-related capacity on behalf of various non-profit organizations. These opportunities prepare our students for a successful career by elevating their practical knowledge in the marketing field and by giving them a wealth of experience they can take to the workplace.

Enactus
Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals, and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. By contributing their talents to projects that improve the lives of people worldwide, Enactus participants are demonstrating that individuals with a knowledge and passion for business can be a powerful force for change.
Financial Management Association
The Financial Management Association (FMA) is an official student club affiliated with the Financial Management Association International. FMA offers its members the opportunity for personal and professional growth through leadership, career development, and social networking. The local leadership team organizes regular meetings with local finance professionals in order to give FMA members exposure to a number of potential career fields in the finance arena (e.g., corporate finance, fixed-income securities, equities, wealth management, banking, etc.).
Additionally, the club runs investment simulation contests (with cash prizes), that are only open to its members. FMA is the perfect place for finance students to meet other students who share the same interests and passions. Become a member by applying today. Be sure to select the Liberty University chapter. Membership for both the international FMA and the Liberty Chapter (LUFMA) is currently just $35 per year or $50 for two years, total.

Global Strategy and Supply Chain Association
The mission of the Global Strategy and Supply Chain Association is to create an environment in which students can become a cohesive group through educational, social, community and professional activities; develop greater multicultural appreciation; and, expand their awareness of career-related opportunities. Students will have opportunities to network with each other across national boundaries and to develop contacts with professional organizations and commercial enterprises. Student members will also have the opportunity to improve their leadership skills through involvement in elective offices.
We have a new name (formerly the International Business Association), and a larger mission. We will be focusing on strategy formulation and today’s most pressing supply chain challenges. We will also have new CSER opportunities to impact the world and our community for Christ.

Society for Human Resource Management
The Society for Human Resources Management is the largest professional association of Human Resources spreading to more than 165 countries with more than 300,000 members. The Liberty University Society for Human Resource Management (LUSHRM) is a college chapter affiliate of national SHRM.
The purpose of SHRM is to elevate the HR profession by empowering people and workplace by maximizing human potential. The LUSHRM chapter carries out this purpose through community contributions, and student professional development, which has resulted in a continual showing in the national merit award for Liberty University. LU SHRM’s mission is to glorify God through the spiritual and professional development of its members by providing professional workshops and networking events.

Student Asset Management Fund (SAM Fund)
The Student Asset Management Fund (SAM Fund) is a student-led organization that provides its members with the opportunity to integrate the Christian worldview with real-world investing experience. SAM holds meetings three times a month that consist of portfolio updates, prospective stock pitches, and guest speakers. As a fund, we are committed to enhancing educational opportunities within the School of Business, broadening financial knowledge, and growing men and women as Christian leaders in the business world.

Student Association for Project Management
The Student Association for Project Management (SAPM) is a community of students interested in the project management profession. Through active participation in the club, students can further their knowledge of project management, develop relationships and network with fellow students and project management professionals, and have opportunities to use their knowledge and skills to serve others. Above all, the Student Association of Project Management seeks to help students develop their skills and talents for effective service to God.
T3 Club
T3 is a unique student-led club that integrates each student’s passion for the financial industry with their passion for serving others. The group meets as a corporate body once a month to fellowship, collaborate, and hear from speakers who are excelling in the business world. These group meetings give the students an opportunity to speak, ask questions to speakers, and begin making professional connections.
In addition to these meetings, T3 has a strategic partnership with the Center of Financial Literacy. Students of T3 are able to assist the CFL with financial seminars and other outreach events. This partnership allows students to take what they learn in the monthly meetings into practice as they serve their peers at Liberty University and even the broader Lynchburg community.

Liberty University’s first-ever Women in Business Club was created for women at Liberty to have a space to network, share ideas, build community, and discuss topics unique to women in the workforce. The purpose of this club is to allow women at Liberty to prepare for their future careers, be inspired by successful women business leaders, and grow in their professional and personal relationships with one another.
