Biography

Dr. Blosser joined the Hospitality & Sport Management faculty at Liberty as an assistant professor in 2002 and was promoted to associate professor in 2010. Dr. Blosser pursued and earned his Ph.D. in 2009 with an emphasis in sport tourism, hallmark/mega event tourism, host community perceptions and tourism/sports event impacts while teaching undergraduate courses at Liberty University.

Career Highlights

Dr. Blosser’s Ph.D. research in the area of sport tourism and mega event tourism has placed a lot of focus on the Olympic Games. In 2007, Dr. Blosser was given an honorary award for his presentation at the 2nd world Congress of Sport Management in Sparta, Greece. Dr. Blosser has submitted research to a number of established congresses and conferences, such as the Euro CHRIE Congress in Thessaloniki, Greece and the ATLAS International Conference in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

Dr. Blosser had spent a number of years in marketing/promotions, sales and customer/client relations both in and outside for the sport industry. He has served in the marketing/promotions and ticketing sales areas with the Colorado State University Athletics Department. He also received experience in sponsor and media relations while interning with Triple Crown Sports, and he has volunteered with Special Olympics and other local sporting events.
