Biography

Dr. Tiffany Lamas, DSW, LMSW, has over 20 years of experience in social work practice, including case management, working with children and families, and clinical services. She holds a Doctor of Social Work (D.S.W.) from Simmons University, a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) from Western Carolina University.

Dr. Lamas has provided support in healthcare and community settings to various groups, including individuals with chronic illnesses, people with disabilities, and families. Her areas of expertise include patient advocacy, care coordination, and addressing social determinants of health to improve client outcomes.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Lamas has academic experience, including serving as Adjunct Faculty at Simmons University where she taught courses in Medical Social Work to graduate level students. She has contributed to curriculum development with the Social Work Department of Rhode Island College, designing and refining social work curriculum specific to the Latinx community. Currently, she is a Full Time Faculty member at Liberty University Online, working as an Assistant Professor teaching graduate level students. At Liberty University, Dr. Lamas teaches various courses including Advanced Macro Social Work Practice, Advanced Field Experience and Seminar, Advanced Generalist Social Work Practice, among others. Her teaching focuses on practical applications and real-world experiences.

Dr. Lamas is committed to advancing both social work education and practice, she continues to contribute to the field through teaching, mentorship, and advocacy. Her passion for improving healthcare outcomes and supporting vulnerable populations remains central to her work in both academic and clinical settings.
