Mental Health Summit – 2025

March 28-29, 2025
Liberty University is proud to host the 2nd annual Mental Health Summit. The Mental Health Summit provides an opportunity for the Liberty community and outside mental health professionals to broaden their awareness of various mental health-related topics. The Summit will also provide Liberty faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to give presentations and present scholarly research at the various workshops.

All students, staff, faculty, and mental health professionals are welcome to register for this event. This event is free to attend both in-person or online. You must register by the deadline to let us know you are coming. You will be able to register for each specific breakout session you would like to attend. Q&A discussion times in the breakout sessions may not be available to online attendees.
Event Schedule
Day 1: Mental Health Summit Meet and Greet
- Location: The Montview Alumni Ballroom
- Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Description: A networking event for all students, staff, faculty, and mental health professionals to attend who are interested in learning more about presenters and organizations in the area. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
Day 2: Mental Health Summit/Breakout Sessions
- Location: The Montview Alumni Ballroom, Demoss Hall classrooms
- Time: 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Program Schedule:
- 9:00 a.m. – Check-In and Welcome Breakfast
- 10:00 a.m. – Worship, Introductions, and Welcome Session
- 11:40 a.m. – Breakout Session #1
- 12:35 p.m. – Lunch
- 1:30 p.m. – Breakout Session #2
- 2:30 p.m. – Breakout Session #3
- 3:30 p.m. – Breakout Session #4
- 4:30 p.m. – Breakout Session #5
Event Information
Prior to the Event:
- Those looking to attend must register by March 17th, 2025.
- Cost: None.
- Attendance is open to all!
- Virtual Attendance will be available for both the main welcome session and all individual breakout sessions through Microsoft Teams channels (links to be provided via email once the RSVP has been completed).
Day of:
- Campus Map
- PARKING: Attendees may park anywhere on floors 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the Main Campus Parking Garage adjacent to the Softball field and Divinity Tower.
- Parking passes are not required.
- Attendees should not park in any numbered parking spot in the garage.
- Please exit the garage from the 2nd or third floor and head to the Montview Student Union.
- Handicap Parking is available outside of Demoss
- Overflow parking is available in the Runk and Pratt Garage.
- Attendees should not park in any numbered or R1-labeled parking spots.
- From this garage, take the elevator to the ground floor and proceed through the tunnel to the main campus. The tunnel will let out in front of the Vines Center. Take a right turn out of the tunnel towards Demoss hall and enter the 1st floor entrance underneath the grand staircase in front of the Demoss 3-pillar fountain. Once inside, walk through Demoss to the Montview Student Union and locate the twin glass elevators. Take the elevators to the third floor and the check-in will be on the left-hand side.
- Check-In will be held outside the Alumni Ballroom.
- Attendees may come up to the 3rd floor via the glass elevators in the Montview Student Union.
Following the Event:
- CEUs and CMEs will be available to those interested who attend the breakout sessions (see the section below).
- Post Summit Survey
- Survey link to be released following the Mental Health Summit.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits
ACCME Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Liberty University School of Behavioral Sciences. The Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians
AMA Credit Designation Statement
The Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses’ Credit Designation Statement
For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ issued by an organization accredited by the ACCME. Additionally, under 18VAC90-19-160 (Continued competency requirements for renewal of an active license), the Virginia Department of Health Professions-Board of Nursing accepts workshops, seminars, conferences, or courses offered by a provider recognized or approved by one of the following: regionally or nationally accredited colleges or universities; licensed health care facility, agency, or hospital; or a health care provider association. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANC and/or the Virginia Board of Nursing for further guidelines. Nurses may receive up to 3.75 credits for completing this activity.
Nurse Practitioners’ Credit Designation Statement
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ issued by an organization accredited by the ACCME. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANPCP for further guidelines. Nurse Practitioners may receive up to 3.75 credits for completing this activity.
Physician Assistants’ Credit Designation Statement
The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ issued by an organization accredited by the ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AAPA for further guidelines. Physician Assistants may receive up to 3.75 credits for completing this activity.
Other Health Care Professionals and/or Learners
In accordance with the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award Handbook, only physicians may be awarded AMA PRA Category 1 CME CreditTM. However, accredited CME providers may issue documentation to other participants that states the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. This documentation, often referred to as a letter of participation or certificate of attendance, may be accepted for certification maintenance and state license renewal purposes as long as the documentation clearly indicates that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CME CreditTM. Individuals are responsible for checking with their respective credentialing body for further guidelines. Other Health Care Professionals and/or Learners may receive up to 3.75 credits for completing this activity.

Each link will instruct you to place the name for the CEU certificate and the email desired. Upon passing, the certificate will automatically generate and be emailed to the account inputted.
