Biography
Dr. Deedre Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Certified School Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mitchell has worked in the counseling field for over 15 years. Much of that time was spent as a secondary school counselor in both rural and urban school settings. Her clinical work also includes private practice, providing individual and group counseling to various age groups. She currently offers anxiety and stress management counseling groups for adolescents, as well as workshops for counselors, educators, and parents. Dr. Mitchell’s professional research and counseling interests include best practices for school counselors, including stress and anxiety management of children and adolescents. She is a core faculty member of the online school counseling program at Liberty University.
