Biography

Dr. Scott Ellis is a LPC in Virginia and Texas, an approved LPC and LMFT supervisor in Virginia, a licensed school counselor in Virginia, a national certified counselor, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Dr. Ellis has many years of experience working with youth and families through in-home counseling and specialized education environments. As a Christian psychotherapist, he is able to work with a variety of presenting issues and has also developed a specialty within marital counseling. His desire as a professor of counseling is for students to simultaneously growth in their faith and clinical skills as they pursue God’s calling for their lives.

Dr. Ellis and his wife Connie have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children as well as many other unofficially adopted adult children. The family enjoys spending time together, good food, and traveling. Dr. Ellis especially enjoys learning about the history of the Christian Church as well as Western Civilization and the many societies that have become a part of our cultural DNA.
