Biography

Dr. Annette Pullen has years of experience in the mental health field, beginning with work at a Christian Counseling Agency, where she played a pivotal role in the establishment and development of three chemical dependency programs across various clinics in the state. Following this, she transitioned to individual mental health, marriage, and trauma counseling within the same agency, serving in that capacity for many years.

In 2013, Dr. Pullen pioneered a trauma-focused class aimed at addressing the specific needs of clients seeking therapy for trauma. She further enhanced her expertise by obtaining certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), significantly improving her ability to assist clients in managing traumatic experiences. In 2017, she founded her private practice, Renew Your Mind – Counseling Consulting and Supervision LLC, dedicated to supporting individuals in high-trauma professions. Dr. Pullen continues to provide part-time counseling services through her practice.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pullen has several years of experience in higher education, where she has mentored, discipled, and guided students to become effective counselors. She takes great joy in witnessing students enter the program with anticipation and graduate as emerging professionals, ready to make a positive impact in their communities and for the Kingdom.
