Biography
Dr. Martin has taught at the college, seminary, and graduate school levels for over 25 years. He is the author of various articles and book chapters covering such topics as the problem of evil, empiricism, the remarkable renaissance of Christian philosophy in the 20th century, St. Anselm as Apologist, and suffering and soul-making. His concentrations include Metaphysics, Philosophy of Religion, and History of Modern Philosophy, with a special interest in the evidential problem of evil, C. S. Lewis and Tolkien studies, and astronomy and cosmology.
He has been invited to speak at various colleges and universities, including Concordia University, Lynchburg College, and the Greek Bible Institute in Athens, Greece. Dr. Martin is currently doing research on a new defense against the evidential argument from evil, Kant, and Hume, as well as the cosmo-teleological argument (also known as the fine-tuning argument).
