Here at the School of Aeronautics, we have a highly capable team of professional drone operators and a state-of-the-art fleet of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Meet the Pilots

At the School of Aeronautics, we have a dedicated team of professionally experienced and certified remote pilots.
LUSOA pilots are certified through the Federal Aviation Administration, and instructors qualified through University standards:
- FAA Certified Part 107 Remote Pilot
- Liberty University Unmanned Aircraft System Instructor
As Unmanned Aerial System instructors, our pilots methodically train students enrolled in our Small UAS Flight course on diverse drone operations. From the basics of UAS procedures leading up to advanced training projects, the instruction is founded in safety, legality, professionalism, and Christian ethics.
Through certifications and training, our LUSOA pilots have gained wide-spread experience in several fields of commercial drone operations:

Unmanned Aerial System Fleet
The School of Aeronautics has a highly technological fleet of unmanned aerial systems. Each platform possesses its own specific characteristics and advanced features.
UAS missions and projects vary according to a range of factors, including location, environment, weather, and the needs of the customer.
