Contrails Club

Airline Pilot Oriented

Club Mission: To provide an opportunity for students to develop an increased awareness of the career options available to them in the field of commercial/corporate aviation. This exposure is provided through regular club meetings featuring experienced guest speakers and field trips to industry-related sites. Students will come away with a better understanding of the value of a Biblical worldview in aviation.

SOAR Club

Missions aviation and community service opportunities

Club Mission: To lay the foundation and give information about missionary aviation to any students curious or seriously interested in missionary aviation. In addition, students in this group will have the chance to be able to learn how to serve and further God’s kingdom in the use of Aviation and other resources.

Women in Aviation

General to all aspects of aviation (not limited to female members)

Club Mission: Women in Aviation International (WAI) is a nonprofit organization that encourages the advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests. The Liberty University Chapter strives to provide networking and scholarship opportunities to male and female students and create a community of students devoted to actively promoting the advancement of minorities in aviation career fields.

High Flight Mentoring

Upper Classmen mentoring underclassmen

Club Mission: To provide opportunities where participants can engage within a community of like-minded individuals to help fulfill the mission of the School of Aeronautics to equip, mentor, and send. High Flight does this primarily by coordinating and offering current residential students both group and individual tutoring sessions. High Flight also helps to pair upperclassmen with incoming students to help new students during their transition into collegiate aviation life.

Promote and explain proper drone operation of both recreational and FAA part 107 rules

Club Mission: To explore the possibilities of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and enjoy a variety of events and gatherings.

FCAP Club

Fellowship for all in Aviation 

Club Mission: This club, a local chapter of Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel (FCAP), specifically equips students pursuing a career in the airlines with a foundation grounded in a Christian approach to work and tools to evangelize in the workplace. The fellowship starts right here. Meetings feature engaging guest speakers from the airlines and elsewhere. The goal is to provoke conversation and encourage students with real-world glimpses of God’s movement.
